Christus
Garden Travel back 2,000 years and witness an
inspiring portrayal of the life of Christ at the world
famous memorial, Christus Gardens. Depicting scenes from
His brief existence in a series of life-sized dioramas,
peopled with realistic wax figures, it's as if the pages
of a giant-sized biblical picture book were unfolding
before your eyes. The adjoining rotunda at Christus Gardens
houses a priceless collection of coins from Biblical
times, heirloom Bibles, and the Place of Parables, which
portrays the teachings of Jesus in large paintings by
noted religious artist, Mark Pedro.
In the jewel-like patio garden is an unusual Carrara marble sculpture of
the head of Christ, so skillfully crafted, not only the eyes but the entire
face seems to follow your movements. It's the most photographed, single
feature in Gatlinburg. Presentations are underscored by amazing lighting
effects and beautiful choral music. |
